On the south coast of Brac you will find Bol, one of the most beautiful places in Dalmatia. Originally a small fishing village, it is now a tourist resort that still retains its unique charm. A crystal clear sea – they say it is as clear as a cut diamond – and a beach that extends into the sea as a headland – are the special features of this small place.
The pebble beach Zlatni Rat reaches 500 m into the sea, its “tongue” sometimes to the right, sometimes to the left, depending on the weather conditions. A whim of nature. A reddish shell called garski kamen is said to be found on this beach and, as legend has it, brings good luck to the finder. There is also the possibility of climbing the highest mountain in the Adriatic archipelago. Vidova gora is 780 m above sea level and offers a breathtaking view of Zlatni Rat and the nearby island of Hvar.
